Initial Project Ideas and Medium of Delivery

From the get go, I knew I wanted to focus on an LGBTQ+ topic for my major multimedia project - an area I feel passionate about.
The three areas/topics that I narrowed it down to were:
The current trans rights and gender identity discourse across the UK - both media representation and dangers this sector of society are facing with the current governments position on this topic.
A similarly related subject I also considered was the current media representation and reported rise of attacks on gay men. I would have centred this around the South of England.
Or my final idea was to take a lesser known area of the gay community and share some light or expose it to a wider audience.
I settled with the latter choice, deciding on the taboo subject area of Financial Domination... a sector of the gay community I was recently introduced to by a friend online. A taboo, niche and original subject area, which has very little coverage in any kind of media both in print, broadcast or online - this topic felt like the most ambitious of the three ideas but also the most exciting.
